25 Dec: Little Flocker author (@JZdziarski) fixed the issue for both privileged and unprivileged users regarding mouse events and only unprivileged keyboard events (unfortunately he was unable to fix root keyboard events), see https://www.littleflocker.com/downloads/CHANGELOG.
